Four members of a family killed in Kunduz

Four members of a family were killed and two others wounded in an attack by an unknown armed group in Khanabad district of Kunduz province, a local source said.

Hayatullah Amiri, the district governor for Khanabad, said the incident took place on Sunday around 1:00 AM, May 23, in Bandar Bokhari area of the district.

Those killed included a woman.

One of the culprits, who is a relative of the victims, has been arrested while rest of them have managed to escape, according to Mr. Amiri.

Located in the northeastern part of the country, Kunduz is a relatively volatile province.
