Afghanistan records 1,566 new cases of Covid-19 over last 24 hours

Official figure shows that as many as 1,566 cases of Covid-19 cases have been recorded over last 24 hours in 30 provinces of the country.

This is the highest daily record of the Covid-19 cases in the country with 30 new deaths – also the highest in a single day – since Afghanistan reported its first case of coronavirus on February 24, 2020.

With the highest number, Kabul stands at top, followed by Herat, Kandahar, Balkh, Nangarhar, Takhar, Baghlan, Kunduz, Nimruz, Faryab, Parwan, Helmand, Paktia, Maidan Wardak, Badakhshan, Laghman, Kapisa, Bamyan, Ghazni, Kunar, Daikundi, Panjshir, Badghis, Zabul, Ghor, Uruzgan, khost, Sar e Pul, Paktika, and Jowzjan.

The total number of Covid-19 patients have reached 73,256.

At least 30 Covid-19 patients have lost their lives over the last 24 hours in the country, according to the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH). 181 Covid-19 patients have recovered.  

A total of 2,974 patients have lost their lives to Covid-19 while 57,630 have recovered.
