Afghanistan has exported worth USD 28.56 million goods to Saudi Arabia

Comparing to previous year, Afghanistan’s export to Saudi Arabia has doubled in 2020, Afghan embassy in Riyadh said.

A statement published by the embassy today, May 18, said that in 2019, goods worth USD 13.28 million were exported to Saudi Arabia which has increased to USD 28.56 million, in 2020.

Afghanistan exports saffron, dry fruits, and hand-made carpets to Saudi Arabia.

According to the embassy, Afghanistan’s exports to Saudi Arabia is expected to reach USD 42.5 million this year.

“Given great opportunity for trade between both countries, we are committed to continue and intensify trade ties between Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia,” said the embassy.

The air corridor between Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia was launched in June 2018.
