Taliban cell involved in murder of Yama Siawash caught in Kabul

Kabul police have ‘apprehended’ an 11 membered group of Taliban in connection with the murder of former TV anchor, Yama Siawash, who lost his life to an explosion that targeted his car last November in the capital Kabul.

Afghanistan’s first vice president, Amrullah Saleh, said in a tweet that Kabul police has arrested an 11 membered Taliban cell that was involved in several bombings including the murder of Yama Siawash.

In November last year, a magnetic bomb targeted Yama Siawash along with his two colleagues who were working for Afghanistan Central Bank.

The Taliban denied involvement in the attack but some government officials blamed the militant group.
