Blast kills one army soldier and wounds four others in Kabul

An army soldier was killed and four others wounded after a roadside bomb targeted their vehicle while patrolling in Qarabagh district of Kabul, according to Kabul police.

Fredaws Faramarz, the spokesperson for Kabul Police Chief, confirmed the incident. He said the Afghan defense and security forces defused another landmine planted in the area.

Khwaja Haneef Sediqi, the district governor of Qarabagh, said the incident took place in Sabzsang area on Istalef-Kabul road earlier today, Monday, April 05, around 07:00 AM.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

At least four security forces were killed and 15 others, including civilians, wounded in two separate blasts in Paghman district of Kabul.

Taking responsibility for the attacks in Paghman, Zabihullah Mujahid, a Taliban spokesman, claimed that around 45 security forces were killed or wounded in the attacks while the Taliban militants retreated unharmed.
