A number of angry fruit-sellers have set a municipality car ablaze in the northern city of Mazar-e-Sharif, a local official confirmed today, Sunday, April 11.
The protest by fruit-sellers and vendors came after the municipality of Mazar-e-Sharif took action to remove fruit-seller’s carts from Mandawi area of the city.
The protest took place on Sunday, April 11, in Mazar-e-Sharif city, said Adel Shah, the spokesperson for Balkh police chief.
The situation is under control now, according to Adel Shah. Police forces have arrested 15 people in connection with violence and an investigation is underway, he said.
