Four members of a single family, including a child, lost their lives after their car crashed a truck in the northern Balkh province, a local official confirmed.
Talking to Kabul Now, Adel Shah Adel, spokesperson for Balkh police chief, said that the accident took place yesterday, Saturday, December 26, in Mazar-Hairatan highway. He, however, did not provide details on what caused the incident.
Recklessness by the drivers coupled with poor road infrastructure are said to be the main reason behind deadly traffic accidents which claim scores of lives each year across the country.
