Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan is supposed to visit Kabul this week on an official invitation by President Ghani, said Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) today, November 14.
According the MFA Spokesperson, Gran Hewad, Imran Khan will discuss Afghan peace process, broadening political, security, economic, and trade cooperation between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
President Ghani had invited Imran Khan to visit Kabul on September 25.
This comes as negotiating teams of the Afghan government and the Taliban have got bogged down on finalizing a negotiating procedure and principles since September 12 in Doha, capital of Qatar.
Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation, Abdullah Abdullah, said in his recent remarks that no progress has been made in the peace negotiations with the militant group.
