NDS operatives seize Taliban drone and weapon depot in Nangarhar

Elite operatives of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) have seized huge amount of light and heavy weapons, including a drone, from a Taliban weapon depot in the eastern Nangarhar province, the NDS said in a statement.

The depot located in Batikot district of the province and belonged to a Taliban notorious commander named Abdul Fattah who was previously killed in operation of Afghan security forces.

According to the statement, NDS operatives have also arrested two Taliban militants, including Abdul Fattah’s son, during the operation.

Nangarhar is a volatile province and the Taliban militant maintain active presence in some districts the province.
