Afghanistan reports 1,828 cases of Covid-19

The Afghan health authorities say that the total number of Covid-19 cases has reached 1,828 in Afghanistan. Wahidullah Mayar, spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Health, on Tuesday, April 28, confirmed that 125 new cases of the pandemic virus were reported in the past 24 hours.

According to the ministry, 58 people, who were infected by the virus, have passed away, and 228 others have recovered.

The official record shows that new cases were reported  in Kabul (15), Herat (21), Kandahar (15), Balkh (10), Logar (9), Jawzjan (8), Panjshir (7), Laghman (7), Paktia (7), Ghazni (6), Takhar (6), Nangarhar (5), Helmand (2), Wardak (2), Kunar (2), Badghis (1), Kapisa (1) and Badakhshan (1) provinces.

On the other hand, Afghan doctors call on the nation to take a collective effort in the fight against the Covid-19.
