The dead bodies of Sayed Abdulalim Agha, a member of Samangan provincial council, and one of his fellows were found today, August 25, in Chashma Sher area of Pul-e-Khumri, capital city of Baghlan province, Jawed Besharat, spokesperson for Baghlan police chief confirmed.
He, however, added that there were no details about three other fellows of Sayed Agha who were also abducted by the Taliban on Saturday, August 24, in the same area.
The incident came while the previously day, Haji Raz Mohammad, chief of Samangan provincial council, said that the Taliban had abducted a member of Samangan PC with his four fellows who were with him on the same vehicle in Pul-e-Khumri city of Baghlan province.
According to Besharat, Sayed Abdulalim Agha and his fellows were on their ways to Kabul when they were abducted.
Lying in the northern part of the country, Samangan and Baghlan are insecure provinces where the Taliban control swaths of land.
