Armed clash leaves five people dead in Kabul

Five people were killed and one wounded as the result of a clash broken out between irresponsible armed men in Qarabagh district of Kabul, said Ferdaws Faramarz, spokesperson for Kabul Police Chief.

According to the official, the incident took place around 6:30 PM in Bazar area of the district on Friday, August 23, after a terrific incident occurred in the area.

He said that the clash erupted between a former Jihadi commander, Haji Kamel, and his cousin due to domestic hostilities.

Faramarz further said that Haji Kamel was also among the dead. He added that the police force were deployed to the area and a suspect was under police custody.

Kabul has recently witnessed an increase in the number of criminal cases.
