Traffic accidents have increased in Afghanistan in recent months. Poor road conditions, driver carelessness, and non-compliance with traffic regulations are some of the main factors that contribute to traffic accidents in the country.
Last year, over 2,228 traffic accidents occurred across Afghanistan, leaving at least 1,029 people dead and 3,890 others injured, according to Taliban authorities.
