Faiq: UN Struggled To Resolve Conflicts, Afghanistan Included

Pointing to the crisis in Afghanistan and Ukraine, Chargé d’Affaires of Afghanistan Permanent Mission to the United Nations, Naseer Ahmad Faiq, complained that the United Nations has failed in preventing and resolving international conflicts.

“The United Nations has faced challenges in fulfilling the charter purposes of this organization, especially in preventing and resolving international conflicts. The crisis in Ukraine and Afghanistan is a clear manifestation of this failure.”, Naseer Ahmad Faiq, Afghanistan’s representative to the United Nations, said in a tweet on the occasion of ‘United Nations Day” on Monday, October, 24.

October 24th is the founding anniversary of the UN, and it is known as “United Nations Day”.

Faiq has added that the emphasis remains on more reforms and a more vital role of the United Nations.

Fayeq has also said that the United Nations, as the only credible organization, plays a fundamental and important role in implementing sustainable development goals, including poverty alleviation, gender equality, climate change, education, and providing humanitarian aid, especially for developing countries and countries in conflict.
