Afghan commandos freed eight soldiers from Taliban custody

The Afghan elite forces freed eight army soldiers from Taliban custody in an operation conducted in Baghlan province, said the Ministry of Defense (MoD).

The Afghan commandos last night, May 23, conducted a rescue operation in Omar Khel village of New Baghlan district and released eight Afghan army soldiers who were kept in Taliban custody, said a statement issued by the MoD.

The Taliban has not made any comment in this regard so far.
