Kabul blast

Kabul blast leaves one dead and two wounded

At least one person was killed and two others wounded after a mine hit a car in Bagrami district of the Kabul province, Kabul police confirmed.

Talking to Kabul Now, Ferdaws Faramarz, spokesperson for Kabul Police Chief, said that the incident took place around 09:00 AM today, February 27, along the Kabul-Logar highway.

Faramarz also said that police forces have diffused three landmines planted in Kabul PD8, PD18, and in Paghman district of Kabul. Without naming a specific group, the police official said that the landmines were planted by the terrorists who wanted to target innocent people.

The capital Kabul has seen a dramatic increase in roadside and magnetic bomb explosions in recent months.

The government officials often blame the Taliban for such attacks.

Meanwhile, First Vice President, Amrullah Saleh, has recently claimed that the Taliban have obtained a new Pakistani-made drill which is specifically designed to dig asphalted roads within two-three minutes with a 10 cm depth in order to plant bombs.
