Roadside bomb kills four civilians including a journalist in Kandahar

Four civilians including a journalist were killed after a roadside bomb went off in capital city of the southern Kandahar province, Nasrat Rahimi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a tweet today, September 25.

According to Rahimi, the explosion happened last night, September 24, in PD14 of Kandahar city. He said that the roadside bomb was planted by the Taliban militants.

Abdul Hamid Hotaki, a journalist who was working for Hewad radio station, was killed, Rahimi confirmed.  

He said that six people including a woman and child were wounded in the blast.

On the other hand, Baheer Ahmadi, spokesperson for Kandahar governor, told Kabul Now that three people including a child were killed and seven others including a woman were injured in the incident.

The Taliban group has not commented on the incident so far.
