The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) says that Italy has contributed €2.5 million to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund.
In a post published on X on Monday, OCHA expressed its appreciation for Italy’s latest contribution, saying the funding will strengthen its ability to respond to emergencies and provide protection for people at risk.
OCHA added that the new donation will enhance efforts to address urgent humanitarian needs across the country.
Italy has previously provided €2.4 million to the Afghanistan Special Trust Fund, as well as €1 million to an alternative livelihoods project in Afghanistan
