27-year-old woman’s body found hanging in Ghazni’s Jaghori district

The body of a 27-year-old woman was found hanging in her home in Afghanistan’s Ghazni province on Monday afternoon.

The woman, a mother of two, identified as Nazdana, was a volunteer nurse at the Ghojor hospital in the Jaghori district. She was also a social activist.

Nazdana’s husband, who has not been named, was detained by the Taliban earlier this month. It is not clear if the two events are related.

Taliban officials in the district has have not commented.
