Turkish Organization to Build Five Religious Schools in Afghanistan

The Turkey based organization, IDDEF, will build five religious schools in five provinces of Afghanistan, the Taliban’s Ministry of Education announced.

Mawlawi Habibullah Agha, the acting minister of the Taliban Ministry of Education and the IDDEF’s general director , SheikhMehmed Turan, signed the memorandum of understanding (MOU) for building these madrassas in Afghanistan.

The acting minister of the Taliban considered building five religious schools a big step and appreciated the organization while signing the MoU, the Taliban ministry of education said in a statement issued on Saturday, October 29.

According to the report, based on the MOU, the Turkish aid organization will build five religious schools in five provinces each with 4 classrooms, a mosque, and a safe drinking water system.

The estimated cost of $25 thousand for this project would be funded by the IDDEF, an islamic and humanitarian support institution located in Istanbul.

The Taliban government said that they will build religious schools in every provinces and districts across the country.
