Taliban killed government employee in Kabul

The Taliban killed a government employee in Kabul, Kabul police said, today, Sunday, April 11.

Aziz ul Rahman, who served as a driver for public services in Kabul, was killed by the Taliban in the capital Kabul, said Ferdaws Faramarz, the spokesperson for Kabul police chief. The incident took place on Saturday evening, April 10, in Qala e Kashif area of PD5, Kabul, he added.

Afghan security forces took immediate action in which a Taliban fighter was killed and another wounded, according to Faramarz. The clash that erupted between the government forces and the militants left one Afghan security force wounded.

The wounded Taliban fighter is in police custody and his weapons have been seized by security forces, he said.

The Taliban have not made any immediate comment in this regard.

A surge in targeted violence is on the rise in urban centers of Afghanistan, notably in the capital Kabul.
