Afghans take delight in Dambura festival held in Bamyan

Thousands of Afghans warmly participated in 3rd Dambura Festival held on Friday, August 23, in the central province of Bamyan, which is home to ancient Buddha statues. The 3rd Dambura Festival was held while insecurity is on the rise in major parts of the country, including the capital Kabul.

Renowned local singers sang songs and played Dambura for music lovers who took part in the festival despite opposition by conservative mullahs of the province.
