Taliban Vehicle Runs Over and Kills Young Man in Kabul

KABUL, AFGHANISTAN – Local sources in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, reported that a Taliban ranger vehicle ran over and killed a young man on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway.

The incident took place on Saturday, January 4, in the Surobi district of Kabul. The victim, identified as Nadir Khan, was thrown into a river after being hit by the Taliban vehicle, and his body has not yet been found.

Sources said the Taliban vehicle veered off the road due to high speed, causing the accident. The Taliban authorities have not yet commented on the incident.

Dozens of similar incidents have occurred in recent years. In October of last year, a Taliban vehicle ran over and killed former senior military official General Abdul Rauf Mohtaj in the Khair Khana area of Kabul. In the same month, a Taliban ranger-type vehicle ran over and killed a teenage girl named Salima in Panjshir province. She was reportedly on her way to a wedding with her family when the incident occurred.

These unfortunate incidents highlight a disturbing trend of reckless driving by Taliban members, leading to traffic accidents and, in some cases, harming civilians. They serve as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by inexperienced individuals operating military vehicles within the regime.
