Taliban morality police intensifies crackdown on women in Herat city

According local sources in the western province of Herat, the Taliban’s vice and virtue police have intensified pressures on women to conform the group’s strict hijab dress code.

Sources in the Herat city told KabulNow, vice and virtue enforcers have set up checkpoints across the city on to inspect adherence of women and girls to the hijab dress code.

Women have warned to adhere to the group’s dress guideline or face arrest.

The group’s vice and virtue police have also attacked restaurants for serving women and girls, beating up staff.
