NRF claims killing 4 Taliban intelligence agents in Kabul

Anti-Taliban armed group, the National Resistance Front (NRF) has claimed that its forces attacked a Taliban intelligence patrol in Kabul province, killing four Taliban agents and injuring another.

In a tweet on Saturday, NRF stated that its forces ambushed the Taliban vehicle en route to the Morad-beg Fort area of Shakardara district on Friday at around 7:00 pm.

Five Taliban intelligence agents, who were riding in a vehicle, were attacked, the NRF added.

The NRF did not mention if its fighters were killed or injured during the attack.

The Taliban has not yet commented on the attack.

Since the Taliban’s resurgence to power in August 2021, the NRF has been actively engaged in a guerrilla war against the Taliban in various provinces of northern and northeastern Afghanistan.

Last month, NRF claimed to have killed at least 10 Taliban fighters and wounded seven more in Parwan, Kapisa, Nuristan, and Baghlan provinces.
