Traffic accident kills 4 and injures 10 in Samangan province

A traffic accident in the Roi-Do-Aab district of northern Samangan province killed at least four people and wounded ten others. The accident occurred when a Toyota Prado vehicle overturned and collided with another vehicle.

Taliban officials in the province said that the accident occurred on Sunday in the Sar Asyab area when a Toyota Prado vehicle was heading towards the district from central Samangan. Two women were among the dead, and women and children were among the wounded.

The injured were taken to the central healthcare center in the district.

Traffic accidents have increased in recent years across the country, taking tens of lives. Poor road infrastructure, driver negligence, and non-compliance with driving regulations are among the contributing factors to traffic accidents in Afghanistan.
