Local sources report that following the murder, the perpetrator fled the area, leaving the victim’s body locked in a room. The motive behind this act remains unknown.
The relatives of the victim have urged the Taliban local government in Faryab to take action against the murderer and bring him to justice. However, no statement has been issued by the Taliban officials in the province yet.
