Taliban killed former local police in Kunar province, in the northeastern part of the country, a local source confirmed.
Days ago, the Taliban summoned the former local police named Mohib, a resident of the Khas district of Kunar province. Then, after torture, the Taliban killed him. His dead body was found in Jalalabad, the centre of Nangarhar province, the local source told Kabul Now.
The Taliban security officials said they are unaware of this incident.
Since the beginning of this month, at least three incidents of killing of former soldiers have been reported in Kunar province.
This year, there have been many cases of mysterious killing of former soldiers. In most cases, the Taliban have been accused. The Taliban, however, deny these accusations and say that they are bound by the general amnesty decree announced by their leader.
