AGO vows to probe ‘massacre’ of civilians in Spin Boldak

Few days after the Ministry of Interior (MoI) accused Taliban of killing around 100 civilians in Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province, the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has ordered probing it as “genocide” and “war crime” stipulated in the country’s Penal Code.

“This horrible incident is a clear manifestation of international crimes and is codified under genocide and war crimes in Afghanistan’s Penal Code,” the AGO asserted in its statement issued on Sunday, July 25.
