A 25-year-old man committed suicide in Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of the northern Balkh province. He threw himself down from the 5th floor of the Rezwan Market in Mazar-e-Sharif, a local official confirmed.

The incident took place today, Monday, April 05, around 08:30 AM in PD1 on Mazar-e-Sharif, said Adel Shah Adel, the spokesperson for Balkh Police Chief.

The man who committed suicide was named Zubair and he was suffering an extreme kind of depression. Zubair, who was from Baghlan province, had gone to Mazar-e-Sharif for medical treatment.
