Unidentified gunmen have killed a school headmaster in the capital Kabul on Monday, October 14. Ferdus Faramarz, spokesperson for Kabul police, told Kabul Now that the incident happened around 4:30 am. The headmaster of Abdul Ghafoor Nadem High School, located in Khair Khana neighborhood of Kabul, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen, Kabul police confirmed.
Investigation is underway, Kabul police said.
Khair Khana, located in northern part of Kabul, is a populated area where organized crime is rampant. Residents of the area say police forces do not have full control over criminal gangs.
The incentive behind the murder still remains unknown and no individual or group have claimed responsibility so far.
