A traffic accident in the northern Baghlan province of Afghanistan killed six people and injured three others, Taliban security officials said.
In a newsletter on Sunday, the Taliban security command in Baghlan stated that the accident took place in the Andarab district of the province on Saturday.
According to the Taliban newsletter, a Toyota-type car heading from Kabul to Kunduz province veered off the road and overturned. Six passengers, including two women and a child, were killed. Three other passengers were injured.
The cause of the accident is not yet known.
Traffic accidents have increased in recent months in Afghanistan, especially in the northern part of the country. Poor road conditions, high speed, driver carelessness, and non-compliance with traffic regulations are some of the main factors that contribute to traffic accidents in the country.
