A mother in Afghanistan’s eastern province of Khost gave birth to a quadruplet on Friday 13 January at a Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) hospital.
Shamema, the hospital said in a tweet on Monday, went to the MSF hospital expecting twins. But “her labour became full of surprises.”
The babies and mother “are safe and sound,” the hospital said.
