Taliban security officials confirm an armed attack on a wedding ceremony in Laghman province, located in the East of Afghanistan.

Younus Yousofzai, a spokesman for Taliban’s security forces in the Laghman province, said that a gunman opened fire on a wedding ceremony in the Gonapal area of ​​Alishang district on Tuesday, November 15.

Both the bride and groom are reported dead, while the gunman has been arrested, the Taliban’s Yousofzai confirmed to Kabul Now.

Yousofzai did not comment on the gunman’s motivations. At the same time, another source has told Kabul Now that the gunman was against the marriage, as a result, decided to carry out the attack.
