Family dispute leaves three women dead in Nangarhar

A woman was shot dead along with her two daughters – all aged 25 to 50 – in PD7 of Jalalabad, capital city of Nangarhar province, as a result of family dispute.

The incident took place on Saturday, June 05, around 09:00 PM, according to Attaullah Khogyani, spokesperson for Nangarhar governor.

Nangarhar police has arrested one person accused by the victims’ family as being involved in the murder. Khogyani added that efforts are underway to arrest two other perpetrators of the incident as well.

Located in the eastern part of the country, Nangarhar occasionally reports cases of domestic violence in which women are often fallen victims to the disputes.

On April 17, eight members of a family were killed and two others wounded in what was reported as land dispute between two families.
