British national sentenced to imprisonment for selling alcoholic drink

A British national, who was running a logistic company in Kabul, has been sentenced to five years and four months in prison on charges of selling alcoholic drinks in Afghanistan, the Supreme Court confirmed.

Ahmad Fahim Qavim, the spokesperson for Supreme Court, said in a ruling issued on Tuesday, June 01, the special Narcotics Court sentenced the British national to imprisonment.

The British citizen known as Ben was accused of selling 1,234.055 liters of alcoholic drinks.

Alcoholic drinks are legal in Afghanistan.
